Paris—July 9, 2012

Nurun is proud to announce the launch of, the official website for France’s national railway company.

Part of a larger digital transformation strategy, Nurun helped SNCF unify its brand and rethink the way it interacts with customers throughout the travel experience. The result is a clear, consistent path to purchasing and planning train travel.

As part of its design thinking process, Nurun conducted ethnographic research on the role rail travel plays in France. Fundamental to commerce and country, four million people travel by train everyday. Considering the wide array of traveler needs, Nurun harnessed user analytics to identify key behaviors to design a website that delivers relevant information and assistance the moment they’re needed.

To create a seamless user journey, Nurun studied interaction flows between SNCF and its stakeholders. After organizing and prioritizing content and services, Nurun designed a unified experience that reaches across the web, mobile, train stations, and even the trains themselves.

As the new entry point, the SNCF website gives individuals throughout France the ability to quickly and easily find what they need, whether they are at home, at work, on a PC, or using the SNCF mobile app. Users can explore SNCF’s services and offerings with simple, direct interactions and preview the content of each section via large, panoramic menus.
