Montréal—June 26, 2013
Grégoire Baret, Executive Vice President of Nurun’s Montreal office, has been elected as president of the jury for the 2013 Boomerang Awards, sponsored by Infopresse. With more than 300 submissions and 1,000 award ceremony attendees annually, the Boomerang Awards are synonymous with excellence in Québec’s digital communications industry.
As president of the jury, Grégoire is responsible for assembling a jury composed of esteemed professionals working in interactive marketing, multimedia, journalism, communications and business. The jury will determine the finalists and select the winners of the 19th edition of the Boomerang Awards.
“This is a great honor for which I am very proud, but it’s also a great opportunity,” said Grégoire. “First, to showcase local companies, to promote best practices in order to inspire the industry, and to highlight the possibilities that are emerging. Secondly, it is an opportunity to celebrate the talented individuals who are transforming the industry. We must reconnect with the idea that digital is about innovation and recognize these great applications of technological intelligence.”
As Executive Vice President of Nurun’s Montreal office, Grégoire leads a team of more than 150 digital professionals, providing creative and strategic guidance to clients including Vidéotron, Groupe Jean Coutu, David’s Tea and Holt Renfrew. Prior to joining Nurun in 2011, Grégoire was Deputy Director of Razorfish Paris, and has more than 12 years of experience counseling leading brands such as Levi’s, Nike, Nissan, Guerlain and PlayStation.
Founded in 1995 by Infopresse, a media group in Montréal, the Boomerang Awards recognize the best websites and interactive marketing initiatives created by Québec companies. Submissions for the 2013 Boomerang Awards will open in August. Winners will be announced during a formal ceremony in early December of this year.
